Marie Düker is newly appointed Professor for Mathematical Statistics at the Department of Data Science. Marie Düker’s research interests are broadly in high-dimensional statistical inference. In particular the development of new methodology accompanied by theoretical challenges and motivated by a variety of problems in data science. Some of Marie Düker’s recent research projects include inference in high dimensional models with hidden latent structure, sparsity and dimension reduction in high dimensions, theory for functional data, detection of mutual patterns across dimensions, and applications to econometrics, neuroscience, chemistry and ecology.
